SMART COFFEE!!! Holy cow …what a concept!

OK, I am not big on selling things, but this is the best idea I have heard of and I have already started buying it and I think I am going to try selling it! It is just a total NO BRAINER!
Ugh…I hate selling….
But WOW…Check this out….
(and I fully expect your thoughts on this…tell me if it sounds as cool as I think or if I am crazy!)

OK…a week or so ago, I put this post out…..
========================================================================
Holy Cow….what a no brainer! I just was introduced to some new coffee that doesn’t just taste good…but has “extra stuff” in it for energy, immune boost, mental clarity and even a diet aid version all with multi vitamins included!!! I always forget about taking my vitamins as much as I try to remember…must be my ADD that I found out I have after I was an adult (more on that some other time!) BUT anyway….I NEVER FORGET TO DRINK MY COFFEE!!!!
This just might be the answer to a lot of my prayers!!!
I am going to look into this further and tell you all more about it once I find out if it is actually really good stuff or not!!!
WOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!
==========================================================================

So NOW I have checked this stuff out and I can’t believe it but it is amazing.
I have tried it…and it is really good coffee. My whole family has tried it and they all like it.
Now let me remind you that I drink espresso every day! Yet I have made this like regular coffee as well as put it thru my espresso pot and it has come out good both ways.

OK. So we have established that it is a tasty coffee.
NOW let’s look at the fact that it has VITAMINS in it, and there are various formulas

*Immune Plus Multi-Vitamin
*Focus Plus Mult-Vitamin
*Energy Extreme 62
* Diet Plus 62
I have tried them all and have started alternating the immune formula and the focus formula to my college and high school boys to keep them healthy and focused…knock on wood…so far so good!

OH…I almost forgot! There is a regular dark roast also with nothing but our lovely caffeine that most of us need our coffee for anyway!! LOL!!!

I am not pushing this since I hate pushy sales people, but if you want to check it out I’ll give you the website to see for yourself.
If you know me and live near me then I can give you a sample, and if you don’t let me know anyway and maybe I can mail you one! haha!! Sounds like a sales pitch…

Let me just clarify something. I only could EVER sell anything I totally LOVE.
I remember when my parents had their restaurant when I was growing up….
the only things I sold unless a person asked for something specific were the dishes I personally liked!
I always told people what my personal favorite dishes were and thats what I sold the most of.
Well, besides my good espresso coffee, this is now my new favorite coffee!

men, the elements and soccer games…

Well, the other day, I spoke of the excitement and the team dinner before my son’s County tournament soccer game which was played yesterday.

If you live anywhere on the East Coast, you probably know what the weather was like here yesterday in New Jersey.  When I tell you it was cold and wet…it is a true statement…BUT it is an UNDER statement!

It was freezing cold, it was very windy it was pouring rain.  These high school boys were wearing under armour and tall socks but they were still in shorts and short sleeve jerseys even if they had long sleeves underneath…but all of this meant NOTHING because they were soaked to the bones!

As I watched these boys battle it out on the field, not a single one gave up.  Not a single one backed off.  They dribbled, they passed, they took shots…then they took that ball on the thigh with a THWACK that we could hear from the stands as the saturated ice cold ball that had to weigh at least 10 lbs by that point made red marks and shudders visible to us thru the downpour.

My own son took a header from a PUNT…I was wondering if I was going to the hospital!  As I noticed during the course of the game that he was heading the ball less and taking it on the chest I knew he’d had enough but he was still working hard and not quitting…just modifying…as were his teammates.

They slid, and got up, they slid, and laid there for a minute before getting up, slowly, slowly beginning to run the way an old man does when his arthritis is acting up.  But still they did not quit.

The goalkeeper had to come out of the game…in goes the other keeper fresh with 20 minutes left to play…he’d been under the tent one of the dads so thoughtfully brought. But the poor Keeper who’d just come out!  He said he couldn’t feel his hands!  I gave him some “hotties” and some hot chocolate and a blanket… I had gone home before halftime for a few minutes to drop off my sopping wet 8 year old daughter and picked up some of those “hotties” hand warmers and some blankets and gloves for my son and extra dry socks as well as the large thermos of hot chocolate.  Good thing I did!!!

Those “hotties” were passed around by all the boys on the sidelines and ready for the players as they came off the field.  After a few, I made the keeper go sit in the covered golf cart with the trainer. I gave him the dry socks.  His hands having been in wet goalie gloves were white with almost no circulation.  The trainer had to take care of the goalie from the other team then as well who came out and his fingertips were already starting to turn that dark color indicative of frostbite!

In the end, we won the game.  The field cleared off so fast I couldn’t believe it! All of a sudden I was out there picking up the last of the things off  the bench for the players who had run for cover.   So I made it back to the gym to take the things I found and along comes the Athletic Director…jokingly asking….”WHO AUTHORIZED THIS GAME TODAY?!?!?!

Was he kidding me???  Of course he was…  I love the guy…he’s a good AD….BUT  he’s a MAN.

Why do MEN think they can “fight these battles” in the most extreme elements when it is actually dangerous or has the potential to be?  It is reminiscent of the ancient world where people are “fighting for their turf”  or in this case ON the turf so we can move on to the next round of battle.

I was an athlete.  I am more competitive than most….just ask my husband!  But still I find it “amusing” how as a society we place such a high level of importance on these sporting events that can’t be made up at a later date because the season has to end so that the next sport season can begin!

…but then again…in the “olden” days didn’t they “play to the death”?  I guess we are lucky then.  We are still alive. So all being said and done…the only important thing is that we WON!
